HE IS BACK! Diego Maradona Gets New Appointment

Argentina legend, Diego Maradona has been appointed coach of Gimnasia, Esgrima La Plata in Argentina Superliga.

The 58-year-old was last in charge of Ascenso MX side, Dorados de Sinaloa, but left his post in June this year due to health reasons.

Speaking after his new appointment as coach of Gimnasia, Maradona wrote on Instagram:

“Finally, now it is official. I’m very happy to be the new coach of Gimnasia,” Maradona’s post read.

“I want to thank president Gabriel Pellegrino for this opportunity and I want to tell the fans that I will work with all my soul and heart for El Lobo. A hug and thank you very much!”

Gimnasia currently sit bottom of the Superliga with just one point from their first five games this campaign.
