Super Eagles of Nigeria Edge Republic of Benin 2-1 in AFCON 2021 Qualifier

The Super Eagles of Nigeria opened their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers with a 2-1 win over the Republic of Benin in Uyo on Wednesday, November 13.

Nigeria had to do it the hard way, coming back into the game after conceding an early goal.

Victor Osimhen scored from the penalty just before halftime while Samuel Kalu’s early goal gave them the win in the second half.
