Sadio Mane has emerged as a target for Germany champions Bayern Munich ahead of the summer transfer window. The 30-year-old Senegal forward has been in incredible form this season but his future in England seems to be getting to an end with Liverpool yet to open contract talks with the winger.
There have not been official talks yet but Bayern’s sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic, who met Mane’s agent is positive of a big name signing in the summer.
“Let yourself be surprised. We have to see what is possible and what is not. We have creative ideas,” he said after the draw against Stuttgart over the weekend.
Mane has in the past attracted interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid but the Spanish giants failed to back it up with a real deal.
The winger’s current contract with Liverpool ends in 2023 and the UEFA Champions League finalist have not showed intentions of renewing his deal, with Mohamed Salah’s situation being more of a priority for the club.
The AFCON winner’s name has been mentioned in the discussions for the Ballon D’or award alongside favourite Karim Benzema and teammate Mohamed Salah.
Mane has scored 21 goals in 47 appearances this season as Liverpool keep their quadruple hopes alive
