video: FC Rostov 3 – 2 Bayern Munich [Champions League] Highlights 2016/17

The Bavarians fell to their second successive defeat in Russia, the first time they have recorded such a negative run in the first half of a season for over a decade

Granted, it is a record that most teams in the football world would die to hold – but at Bayern Munich the beginnings of an historic losing streak can just about be glimpsed.

Carlo Ancelotti has found replacing Pep Guardiola hard work since arriving at the Allianz Arena in the summer, despite the criticism the Catalan faced in some circles for failing to deliver the Champions League.

And the new coach will have to improve drastically to avoid another European washout, as his team fell to Rostov 3-2 on Wednesday to all but end their chances of finishing top of Group D.

It was the Russian club’s first win in the competition’s group stage, a remarkable feat against the Bundesliga giants.

But Bayern themselves are making history, albeit for the wrong reasons.
